"SECURITY" light...

Security light staying on for a minute or two after starting the car sometimes. What's it trying to tell me?

I don't know but my other car (96 monte) did the same thing (only once) and it confused me too. That was about two months ago and hasn't done it since. A couple days later, however, my alternator was toast. coincedence? who knows.

Usualy when lights cut on for no reason, it ends up being an alternator problem. My dads van did that, lights jsut started cutting on and off at random, alternator went to hell two days later. Same problem with my friends Audi.
