Question RE: Possible CV Joints AGAIN???

When i'm turning slowly, or backing, most of the time I get this noise, mainly a clicking/knock in the front end. I was just wondering if its my CV joint or something else. It also lightly clicks up front sometimes when I lightly touch the brakes. I don't have the time or space right now to check it myself and garages charge a fortune just to look at it!
Damn Hondas! Joking. HAHA

Oh Yeah, does anyone else find that a 4th gen has an shitty front end, or is it just the terrible roads here? LoL!

Re: RE: Possible CV Joints AGAIN???

just get on ur knees and look behind ur wheels or jack up ur car and look at the rubber cv boot. if it's ripped then ur problem is probably a clicking cv joint and u'll probably have to replace ur cv shaft assembly.

haha, its probably the roads at ur place because my bumper went thru so much crap before and its in perfect shape.

could be outer cv's but sounds more like a suspension link (if honda's have them - i've never owned one) or your anti-roll bar mount / bushes.

do you get the noise if you drive at a constant speed and without turning on a bumpy road? if so it's not your cv's.

Re: RE: Possible CV Joints AGAIN???

there was some fiberglass aftermarket bumper kit on my crx when i bought it. stuff just kept coming loose and falling off one piece at a time, until i finally hit this curb in new orleans and lost my front bumper (well... it's in the garage, but it's mounting holes are ripped through, so i can't put it back on. shame, too. in general, the honda bumpers and trim were rock solid from what i've seen (aside from those fenders on the 87 and earlier models). this aftermarket kit was crap.
