02 civic altezza tail light install

hello everyone, my girlfriend has a 2002 hond civic ex 4 door and i bought her tyc altezza tail lights for her birthday and i ran into a little trouble removing the stock tail lights. i took everything off in the trunk removed three bolts holding the stock tail lights on. and then pryed at it for hours and nothing.... tried form all angles and ways
is there something i'm missing?

5 mm lugs using socket 8 metric
there are 4 bolts on each side to remove.

Hopefully u got her some of the CF ones cause the shiny silver ones are just gay from my point of view. Actually, u should've stayed with the stock tails. Projectors would've be really nice on there!

NAh i got her the chrome ones. she doesnt really dig the carbon fiber ones. and in my opinion they look nice. i think tyc makes really nice tail lights.by the way i got them installed yesterday took a lot of work and required more than justthe bolts inside the trunk. yeah healthlights will be next. but i can't neglect my car
