Question Engine Blew After Repair

I have a 97 Sierra with the 4.3L auto 2wd 108k. I took the truck into the shop to have the water pump replaced. Went to pick it up and it was still leaking(more than ever) The shop told me it was the intake gasket so I had it replaced. Drove it about 60 miles (it wanted to die under low or no load conditions) Took it back to the shop told them what was going on and they dis conected the neg. battery terminal to "resent the computer" Drove another 80 miles and engine started knocking really BAD!! The oil analysis showed pos. for antifreeze, Viscosity was at 9.9(oil had 1500 miles on it) Aluminum was elevated to 264 and the Iron was at 323 ppm. Do you think the shop is at fault?

shop responsibility

Shop is at faulty if they did not change oil and filter. You should have been informed of any other leaks by shop before vehicle was released.
