4.3 s-10

I guess 91 was A VERY GOOD year ,my s-10(Durango) has 205,950 miles no knocks
no major work on eng or trans. The 4.3 tbi still outruns 98% of speed deamonds on the morning commute.

Re: 4.3 s-10

Higher octane in a 4.3L is a waste of good money.

Our engines are tuned for 87 octane.

I love how they run forever and no problems. My only problem was alternator until I rebuilt it to 140 amp.

Re: 4.3 s-10

Lucas oil treatment does not increase fuel economy.

What it might do is raise compression slightly seeing it thickens the oil and might seal the pistons rings a little better.
