Rough Crossover

Asked this question in the RSX forum, but wanted to throw it out here as well- seeing as how there's a wider audience in the Teg forum and sufficient vtec knowledge...

Type S crossover is at 5900-6000rpm. At crossover I hit a slight .25 sec. bog/lag, hear a quick metallic rattle and then take off normally and push fine up to 7900. Crossover used to be smooth and seamless. Anyone have any thoughts?

Re: Rough Crossover

nice try GSR boy, but your logic is faulty. THis problem is not one that is easily fixed. THe first and most important step when faced with a problem like this one is to completely gut your transmission. Thats right, gut it. Take yourself to the thrift store and buy some of those pipe cleaners. Now, once your tranny is out of your car you take and fill your bathtub with a mixture of amonia and bleach. Fill to the top and make sure there is no ventalation in the bathroom. Put your Transmission in the fluid and seal the door with you inside. Now take those pipe cleaners, especially the brown ones and scrub the entire surface with them. Once you have completed this you should be ready to go, you wont notice any problems with your transmision after this.

ammonium and bleach combine to create a nerve toxin. Not good.
