Transmission Shift Solenoid C P1761
On my 1999 Windstar (3.8L), I ran diagnostics and got a P1761 - Shift solenoid C CKT Performance. Does that mean Solenoid has gone bad? How do I change it? My van's slipping while picking up speed. Also, I get a jerk when I put from park to Drive.
Please help!!!

I'm a bit of a broken record on the subject, but have you removed the wipers and cowling and inspected the drivetrain harness? Many '99s and '00s had chafing where the harness passes over the ac tubing.
