Question Auto dimming mirrors

Hey!! I have recently purchached a 2000 Chevy Tahoe LT(new body style) with auto dimmiing mirrors. The rearview mirror and the drivers side mirrors both dim at night, but the passenger side does not. I have read through the owners manual and it does not say to much about the mirrors at all. My question is, are all the mirrors supposed to dim? Rearview, driver,& passenger side mirrors??

Most likely the passenger side does not darken. I do believe it was an option. Ig the letters GNTX appear at the bottom of the mirror it is a dimming mirror. GM opted not to make the passenger side dimming because the glare from a convex mirror is not usually bright enough to be annoying.

Re: Auto dimming mirrors

yeah, it's only the Drivers side that dims automatically. The pass side doesn't dim.
