Clicking belt
When i start my car in the morning, there is a ticking or sqeaking noise coming from the belts. The belts are new, and the sound eventually goes away when the car heats up. Is this a problem?
Also, how do i disconect the clutch from the starter? I heard this was bad for the car. How do i disconnect it? Thanks

Re: Clicking belt
If the belts are new, one of them may not be tight enough.
As far as disconecting the clutch from the starter - there are a few threads that deal with just that.

Re: Clicking belt

Re: Clicking belt
Engines like to make ticky noises, especially injectors. Don't worry about disconnecting the clutch start switch--420a engines don't need to worry about crankwalk like 4g63 engines do. Only turbo DSM guys need to do this mod to keep their car safe
