Window Fog Annoying!!!

Hey it is getting really cold here in idaho and my windows fog up a ton when i am driving to work. Is there any type of cleaning solution or what i can do to limit it or get rid of it. I know its a dumb question but I just thought i would ask.

this works best for me to defrost the windows: turn A/C to defroster setting, then puch the A/C button (to yellow or green light), then just monkey with the temperature setting. i haven't used it in a long time, but i think i kept the temperature around the middle, but just mess around with it. the key is to push the A/C button, most people don't do that.

Linebckr49, you mean to have the AC on but the temperature on warm? Hmm....never did that one before.... I usually just have the temp on warm to high and then have it defrost with that one outside thing (I don't know what it's called hehe).

Re: Window Fog Annoying!!!

Having the heat on when it's cold outside will cause the watter molecules in the air (mostly from your breath) to slow down when they reach the cold area within a few milimeters of the glass and in doing so they will condense forming the "fog" on your windows. You can combat this by one of two ways, turn off the heat so that the windows are not signifigantly colder than the air within the car, or you could turn on the AC and ventilation and hope it is able to reduce the humidity in the car enough to lessen the buildup of the "fog". I use both when it starts to fog up, I turn the heat down to a medium level and turn on the AC.

Re: Window Fog Annoying!!!

I think Rain-X makes an anti-fog forumula to wipe onto the interior of windows. Although I couldn't tell you how it works, never used it.
