Oil leaking form back of block

There is a sensor where im leaking a little bit of oil, i was wandering if anyone has had this problem before and know what this sensor is called. It is leaking enough where there is oil on the backside of my engine.

You sure that is where the oil is coming from?

Have you checked that maybe it is a valve cover gasket leaking?

The head is clean from the top of the valve cover to where the head bolts to the block there is just oil on my block and i didnt know if it could be one of those sensors on the block if anyone could help id appreciate it.

Yes, clean it so you can see.

Oil doesn't leak from the top of the valve cover, it leaks where it attaches to the head.

Where is the rear main seal? I think that the leak is coming from the oil sending unit,

Oil can leak from a valve cover but you would see that on the intake manifold. It could be the head but that would be unlikely if it is running properly.

On the back of these engines you have a oil sending unit This is most likely your leak. There is also a crank position sensor but that is almost to the bottom so the oil would just fall off. Good Luck.
