Re: Oil leaking form back of block
You sure that is where the oil is coming from?
Have you checked that maybe it is a valve cover gasket leaking? |

Oil doesn't leak from the top of the valve cover, it leaks where it attaches to the head. |

Where is the rear main seal? I think that the leak is coming from the oil sending unit,

Re: Oil leaking form back of block
Oil can leak from a valve cover but you would see that on the intake manifold. It could be the head but that would be unlikely if it is running properly.
On the back of these engines you have a oil sending unit This is most likely your leak. There is also a crank position sensor but that is almost to the bottom so the oil would just fall off. Good Luck. |
