A question for you GS-T and GSX guys

Im currently in search of a 97-99 2g, GS-T or GSX, I would much rather get the GSX but Im having a hard time finding one close enough to me. Theres a lot of GS-T's for sale though basically on auto-trader. So my question, should I settle for the GS-T, or would I be smarter to get the GSX? Thanks.

from my noob experience GSX's are very very hard to find especialy with miles under 100k. In terms on the awd launch its great and all but the gsx is heavyer and is slower on the highway and on the top end. the only good thing about a gsx is the launch. oh and i bet they are better in the snow...

LUCKY!

However, when I got my GST, I was completely satisfied. If I had a chance to get a GSX I would, but I think I'd like to keep my first gst.

Not to be a hard a$$, but this thread title should be guys/girls.

Re: A question for you GS-T and GSX guys

there are alot of older gsx's here in spokane. at least 3 a week for sale in the local wheels and deals. 1500 - 3000 grand. every once in a while you'll see a 99 with 80+ for 8999 or so. there isnt a huge dsm tunner market here. i bought my 96 gsx 5 speed with 112k for $3000.

Thanks guys/gals

Thanks for the tips, I always thought GSX would be way better than the GS-T, but I bet they both have they're ups n downs, Im looking for a tuner car but strictly street for now. Theres a nice 98 GS-T for sale 9 miles away, so I may go test drive it, I've driven them before and liked them. It's going for 11,000 with 68k miles... thanks again

if it does its only because they get more powertrain loss, exhaust and some more free mods will fix that

Re: A question for you GS-T and GSX guys

The minor advantages of FWD being lighter and less drivetrain loss don't matter much when you consider wheel spin.

The answer is GSX, especially if you get snow and ice in the winter. If you don't plan on modifying the car, live in florida, and like buying new front tires... the GST might be an option.

I think the thread title should be more descriptive of the questions around here, but for the record my girl friends call THEIR girl friends 'those guys'.

If you can get your hands on a GSX go for it. You wont regret either choice.
