Civic vs Accord...Another Honda Battle heheheh

Alright, my buddy Marshall and I were just hanging out today, we had just watched 2F2F and like most typical ricers, we got a little thrill and wanted to race instantly after watching it. I know, such a cliche. Well, anyway he has a 95 Accord Ex, and then there's my 95 Civic Ex. His is stock and mine is, well, you guys know what I have. Marshall has beaten me in the past, but that was when I was completely bone stock. So there's a bit of a difference, and I figure things have changed and the results would be much more in my favor.

This was about 2 in the afternoon, there's nothing to do so we decide to race. We take it to an empty road, and this road is atleast 1 mile long, just straight narrow asphalt. Perfect for racing. And this road is hardly travelled, maybe 2 or 3 times a week is it used by anyone. Just so you guys know, I took my rims off for the season, and it really does make the difference with my car's launch. Beside the matter. Moving on.

So Marshall has always had bragging rights over me since he last won, and he's always wanted another race just to see what would be the result. We lined it up, and Marshall started talking shiz just for fun, and I laugh. So I give it 3 honks, and we jump off the line. He took me through 1st and 2nd, but on 3rd is when my car starts to take control. I'm gaining on him slowly, and as soon as I am at his window, I turn and look at him. He's looking forward, concentrating on the end of the road.

I honked and he glanced over. I waved with a big grin on my face and he just had this look of aww on his face . As soon as I hit 4th, I pulled up on him by 2 car lengths, and I rolled down my windows, gave a thumbs up and signalled my Haz lights.

We both slowed down, and I raised my arms in victory! I know it wasn't that much of a triumpth, but I won. So I now have the braggin rights over him. He said now he's going to try and keep up with me. You know, by putting money into his car. We plan to race in the future. So who knows, maybe there will be a part 2 to this story, but for now, I'm going to take my braggin rights and shove it in his face Well, the civ chalks up another kill. Late boys....

Man, I wish we had roads like that around here. Any roads that are like that aren't near as long and they're all torn up. "Raised my arms in victory", man I hope you did that after you stopped. It's good to have fun with friends, but don't get yourself hurt.

Haha, we had the 140hp battle, 90 and 92 accords a few years back...

sounds like me and my buddy here.. it was a while back ago but if i remember correctly i had my 92 ford probe 5 spd and he was driving a 5spd fiero gt.. it was a pretty close battle.. i don't thinik anybody really won.. man. i miss that car..

lol its pretty funny when me and my best friend race...a 89 Maxima 5-speed with a DTM-style exhaust against a black auto 92 Saturn SL2 with a teal SL1 trunk and a 4" fart can, big ass Custom Saturn sticker in the back window, and is currently sanded down, waitin to be painted...i'm not sayin its a slow race...but it just looks kinda funny...haha
