Sunroof hell

My sunroof just stopped working rather suddenly. Made clicking a noise like gear wasnt engaging at motor. Opened the access panel in the headliner to look at the motor and a 2" screw fell out?!?!? I was able to close it manually with an allen wrench but it is still jacked up on one side and I am unable to open it - the gear doesnt seem to be engaging even manually- so that i can remove the headliner and work on it any help appreciated
