Auto Headlight Delay not always working
I've been to the dealer many times with no fix for this yet. About 50% of the time when I turn off my ignition the headlights do not delay as they should. I've tried changing the delay to different times but that makes no difference.
At first the dealer tried to convince me that I was turning off the lights before I turned off the ignition but that's how the older Cherokees worked. The older models didn't have auto on headlights. (I'm convinced my local Jeep service deptartment is run by idiots).
Later the dealer said they were able to reproduce the problem and said they would replace the BCM. I took it in and they supposedly replaced it only to find that night that not only were the headlights doing the same thing, I no longer had a functioning factory alarm. I took it back, they returned the alarm system to operational and told me that they could no reproduce the headlight problem. Of course later that night the lights turned off instantly 2 times. What to do???
