Annoying Customers...

...I hate them, but I guess it's in the job description. I just had a guy threaten me because I could only give him $0.50 for his "Flock of Seaguls" CD. He said that I'm a dickhead and that he's gonna meet me in the parking lot. SO...I told him that I'd see him at 6. (Like a dickhead would...)

I guess this only applies to those of you who are in the Retail/Resale buisness but have you ever had to deal with some "winners" like this guy? I know thats a dumb question because everybody has but I love stories.

Re: Annoying Customers...

yep I've had plenty. At best buy there was this old black dude who was very demanding and rude. He was standing like 5 feet from the scanners, and then he's like "I want that scanner" and points to the direction of 2-3 scanners. So I am like "which one, this one?" and point to one of them. Then in a real gruff and irritated voice, he said "The one I'm pointing at!" . So he didn't really answer my question but I told him we didn't have anymore (looked on top of the shelf, and still didn't know which scanner he was talking about) then he rudely just abruptly left like he was pissed off.

Re: Annoying Customers...

I was at a hotel once and some guy came in and asked for his "usual" room that he reserved 3 days ago (I was standing next to him about to buy somthing to drink when I over heard this). Well they told him they gave it away because this was a high demand hotel and it was hard to get rooms. This was in St. Louis. After they told him that he went off and started screaming for like 5 minutes about how it was bullshit and he had been staying there for too long to have them give his room away. Well here he is cussing at the top of his lungs and there are all these kids standing around with there parents and everyones just standing there staring at him wanted to do something but no one did. The people that work there can't do anything or say anything so I walk right in front of him and they let me buy my drink and I left. I went to bed because I had enough of him and his childness but the next day when we went to check out they told us they eventually called the cops to get him to get another room or leave. Wanted to lay him out on the spot but he was rich and I wouldn't have any money afterwards. Always see people like that in movies but never in real life.

Re: Annoying Customers...

I remember at my old job I had some morons. I used to work in an information centre (visitor info shit, brochures etc). Most of the centres in NZ do bookings for ferries etc, but we didn't. This lady comes in.

"Shuttles."
"Sorry?" I reply.
"I want to make a booking."
"I'm sorry, we don't make bookings here."
"Yes you do."
"No we don't, I'm sorry."
"Yes you do! I was told I could make a booking at an info centre! I want to make a booking!"
"I'm sorry. Most of the other centres do, but we don't do bookings. I can ring the shuttle company and you can make a booking with a credit card if you like, but I can't do it directly."
"I don't have a credit card."
"Unfortunately then you'll have to head into the city and book at the centre there."
"But Wellington's so far away!" (it's about a 15 min drive)

Eventually she got the shits with me and left. Dumb slut.

No real annoying customers at my currentwork, cept for one who when he calls up is always lethargic and slow, taking like 2 minutes between fords. Farking annoying.

Re: Annoying Customers...

At the pizza place I used to deliver for we would also make sandwiches, burgers, etc. Often when I delivered, I would deliver a pizza with an appetizer or sandwich. During one of those pizza and burger deliveries a guy asked 'is my sandwich in the bag?'. I wanted so badly to say 'no, your sandwich is in the pizza box and your pizza is in the bag'.

And just about every other 'bag' delivery with multiple sandwiches I would get asked 'are both the sandwiches in the bag?' I don't know, pizza delivery drivers don't cook the fucking food and put it in the bag. We take whatever the cooks give us, and deliver it to your house.

hehe, I love calling non-franchise pizza places 10 or 15 miles from my house and having them deliver at night; I live in a super confusing neighborhood so they have to drive for like an hour to get to my house

Re: Annoying Customers...

Man, most satisfying thing about my job is that if anyone even curses at me, raises their voice, speaks ill of Mr.Gates, or refuses to go along with what I have to do, I just hang up on them. Feels so nice knowing I will never talk to them again.

Re: Annoying Customers...

I work at a Pizza place in Lexington, MN. One time this lady argued with me for atleast 10 minutes on the phone trying to tell me that lexington is not a city(we are also on Lexington ave.) She was like i know there is a lexington street but there isnt a lexington city. When we answer phones we clearly say carbones IN lexington....i finally got so fed up i told her to hold on and gave a manager the phone.

Question They're grown-ups, now...

For me, it's the phone call about a wedding engagement. Often, a mom will call me to say that their son or daughter has gotten engaged. I respond (politely) that I look forward to talking to the wedding couple. PEOPLE WHO ARE OLD ENOUGH TO GET MARRIED CAN CALL THE PARISH PRIEST THEMSELVES.

Re: Annoying Customers...

I used to have a job at Nandoes a while back

and I had this cheeky cunt come in and order chicken. Then I saw him eat it with his buddies, and he came back like a minute later.

him "Hey mate, this chicken has lemon innit right?"
me "Yeah it does"
him "well ya see my mates allergic so can we get another one without lemon?"
me " No chance mate"
