Re: how much whould this cost

The rings are going to be fairly cheep, less than $100. Thats alot of labor, but I'm surpised its not more honestly. Its alot of work to put new rings in and hone the cylinders.

did have the tools for it, and also this is a very reputable shop, they checked for taper before they even honed it to make sure everything was 100% before doing anything. and i didnt wanna do it and fuck something up either. i might test it out on my d15b2 if noone buys it

Re: how much whould this cost

It's not going to cost you much more to just put a B16A1 in it. You could probably get the engine for $800, plus installation. It will be much faster.

hmmm 800+installation

He didnt even wanna spend 600 for new rings+labor, why would he want to spend 200 more and have to pay for labor to install which is around 500 bucks!!!

Did you have to drop the engine out on the bottom and take it apart that way, or were you simply able to take of the valve cover and cylinder head, and change them that way. I'd be intersted in doing this myself, because my CRX does burn some oil.
