87 Integra auto to manual conversion
I have an very nice stock '87 Integra with bad auto trans. Tranny shop says it's just about impossible (what's involved?) to change to manual trans. True? If so, I need a rebuild on my auto. trans. What's a good source near Portland, OR? Is $2,500 a crazy price to rebuild?

Re: 87 Integra auto to manual conversion
Man there are plenty of those automatic 86-89 integras out there look and youll find one very cheap and also the auto to manual swap is not hard at all, My hatch was an auto the guy did the b18 swap in it and changed it to 5 speed it less then half a days time..

go to a junk yard to get a tranny. real cheap for 1st gen teg's. don't think it should be too difficult. not sure how the stick would mount up though?
