1991 Camry Heat blows cold only

Going to buy a used 91 camry 56,000 miles for my son to use a college. Milage to low to pass on.

Only thing wrong witht he car is that the heat blows cold air only.

Anyone here know what it may be. Seller had a quote of 500 to fix but does not know whats being fixed.
I would like to try to fix myself.

Check close to the firewall the connection of the heating to the coolant lines. There is a mechanical valve that allows the passage of hot coolant to the heating radiator. Some times the screw that connects the hot/cold air switch to that valve is loose and does no move the valve. Hope is that.

Im commiting to buy this car today 91 4 cyl auto with 56,000 miles in near mint cond except for the heater. Paying 2500 seller dropped the price based on kbb value to adjust for 500 heater repair.

Double-check the coolant level as low coolant will also cause this,also if the thermostat is stuck open or missing the temp guage won't go to normal and the air won't be hot.
