1999 Mercury Sable & 99 Ford Explorer

Hey all.

Just here to say hello and introduce myself. I live here in Seabrook Texas, and I own a 99 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer and a 99 Mercury Sable LS. The Explorer has one big issue right now, if anyone can give me any hints. The Mach stereo with in dash AM/FM/Tape/CD and a 6 disk in console chager works great....but the display went out on it and I cannot fix it. This stinks. I am also currently working on the AC in the Sable...Now THAT is a pain in the butt. Any helpful hint on any of this are appreciated. Talk to you later.

you will have to remove the radio and the faceplate on the front and there is a bulb that should pull out with a pair pf needlenose pliers it used to be a number 76 bulb ..but i would test all of the fuses in the fusebox first because the display power usually has its own power supplied from a seperate fuse than tha radio
