Does anyone make Nerf Bars WITHOUT steps?

I am looking for a set of nerf bars without the built-in steps. Does anyone know who makes them? Stainless steel or polished is preferred, but black will work...

Re: Does anyone make Nerf Bars WITHOUT steps?

If you have a connection, you can get a pipefitter to make you some. I'm an electrician, so I work around a lot of fitters. Most here are willing to make stuff, and they usually have a lot better pipe and the welds look as good or better than those you can buy out of a catalog. Other wise eBay, summitracing, jegs all of the usual places carry a multitude of brands. I would suggest buying one that does not cut the step out, but rather bends/presses the step. It helps strenghten the pipe and prevents premature rust.

Re: Does anyone make Nerf Bars WITHOUT steps?

I am right there with you on the press-in v. cut-out . Strength was the reason I wanted the full-round v. step variety to begin with.

EVERY brand used to sell regular no-step models. Now i cannot find anything...

With your custom-made idea, what would i do for brackets and/or mounting parts? THe bolts woudl be Grade 8 from any home-improvement place, but it is the brackets that concern me.

If you know what you need, just tell the fitter, give accurate measurements. They can easily weld flanges and drill the holes you would need.

There should be holes drilled from the factory to attach the bars to, just base your measurements on those.

The best part of using a fitter would be the quality of pipe used. They almost always have a heavy gauge stainless pipe on the job, and the appropriate welder.
