broken tranny mount?

im thinkin i might have a broken tranny mount.. sometimes when i take off kindof hard i get a little clunking sound.. anyone know how much it's gonna cost me to get the part and if i should have it done or if its a relatively easy fix..

very easy to fix. dont pay someone to do it. put the camaro up on ramps. put a jack under the tranny, and lift it up to take pressure off the tranny mount and crossmember, you dont have to unbolt anything on the drivetrain. then undo the two or three bolts that hold the mount in place, pull it out, put the new one in, and bolt it together. then take the jack out, and take the car off the ramps, and youre done.

do you get a clunck or does the thrans slam under the console when it shifts, if so thats your problem

ya, i had the same problem, it cost me 12 bux to fix myself, it woulda cost me 75 for someone else to do it.

it makes a little clunk sound and i can kind of feel it.. but my buddy Mike's a mechanic and he told me that's what it probably was.. wouldnt surprise me.. i knew i shouldnt have beaten the pants off that firebird last week.. lol
