leaky transmission

I think my transmission may be leaking a little. The fluid levels have not gone down a bit since the fluid was last replaced, but the section in front of the tranny pan always has wet oil residue on it. It hasn't been dripping. This is the low hanging section directly in front of the square tranny pan. The fluid didn't appear red when I wiped it off, but brown - but it's def some sort of oil and not mud. My tranny fluid is still bright red.

What is that piece?

Re: leaky transmission

Whipe it off and watch it for a while.

It might have taken years to get to that level.
