Re: HeHe.. Alright!

looks to me like a 13G 1g DSM automatic turbo, but i could be wrong..
I see the wastegate has been welded shut.. you'll have to get a manifold with an external wastegate or weld one onto an HF manifold ifyou want to be able to control your boost..

it was free... i'm not gonna complain haha
would it really matter if its off an auto tho? i thought a TD04 turbo was the normal turbo off a talon/eclipse??

how would i go about adding a wastegate onto an hf manifold?

it might be easier to buy an turbo manifold with an external wastegate and make an adapter plate for it than it would to try to put a wastegate on your current manifold... just an idea

best of luck to ya.

Re: HeHe.. Alright!

TD05H is the normal 14B turbo from 1g manual DSM's.. it has the square 4 bolt flange.

adding a wastegate on an HF manifold can be done, but its not recommended due to the fact that its harder to weld steel to cast iron than it is to weld steel to steel... it can be done though. You might be better off getting a log manifold with an external wastegate and either making an adapter plate or just making a 3 bolt triangle flange and welding it on in place of the most commonly used T3 flange.

i think i might go that way man. sounds like a better idea to me, or i could even get my own manifold made up custom by an exhaust shop right? if they bend the tubes right it should be fine

Re: HeHe.. Alright!

YEa you can have one made for less i can have turbo manifolds made if you supply your stock manifold so they can cut the plate of and put all new piping on it for 75-100 dollars..Not a bad looking turbo for free i got a nice Super 6 going on my hatch as we speak..
