tranny(auto) question urgent

hi all, my name is Luke, im picking up a 1993 ford escort. The problem is it will not go into reverse it is an automatic what the owner has told me is “the obd code says the reverse solenoid is sticking” anyone know anything? Thanks in advance

well it likely has the mazda 4EAT tranny (aka the 4-eat-me)

and it prolly is sticking.

but those trannies are junk, weak, useless and $1500 to rebuild.
