hard shifting on an automatic

hey i have a 95 accord lx 2 door its an automatic. When the tranny is shifting gears its does it pretty rugh feels like the tranny jerks alittle bit and u can kinda hear like a metal hitting sounds right when it shifts. Anyone know what this can be or how i can fix it. ima try changing the fluids.
