Re: Question

sounds like somebody didnt put the battery cable back on good. try checking the battery cable, im pretty sure the only time that you have to reset the code with the CD player is when the battery is disconnected

Re: Question

I think when I first disconnected my battery it asked me for the radio code, and I had to go to the mitsu dealer and pay $23 to have them tell me 4 numbers!! Ever since it never asked me for the code again. I think once you unplug the factory CD player & radio, it doesn't ask for it anymore. I just installed a brand new Red top Optima battery and all is good!! As for the car turning off, its either one of 2 things.....you stalled (if you have a MT), or your hoses aren't clamped tight enough and its allowing air in the engine from the PVC hose. I'm no big time machanic, but those are my guess's. Good luck!!

Re: Question

i would have said that those were the problems too until he said that he had to put the code in his cd player again. the only time that happens that i know of is when the battery gets disconnected.
