Calsonic R33 pictures!

And here is my new favourite for the cabinet!
The build went so well and the car has such presence! The shine looks very realistic too!
I took some pictures in the shade so you can see the real colour, which looking back seems very correct to me now!
I hope you like it!

Note the perfect panel lines? This was done using a pen I bought here! I'll post details of it for you all! It was so quick to use too!
The heat shield for the exhaust is a nice touch!

Another chance to see the panel ines. Note the fit of the rear quarter galss and rear screen too? Perfect, and inline with the body, which is really effective! A lovely kit!

BUGGER YOU !!
They have this kit in my model shop and i have been trying so hard not to go and buy it ...i think you changed my mind.
The finish is first class....excellent job on the paint and kit on a whole.

THE PEN.....PM me with some details if you could...i have been looking everywhere for one and cant seem to find one that is good just for the panel lines.
Is it a paint type?
Can you get any more.....hint..hint..hint..hint

I started on my Calsonic Primera today. My modeling has taken a bit of a hit as I don't have a whole lot of time to work on them. But this is really nice, I'll be looking for the whole Calsonic series at some point.

Top notch stuff there Dan.

damn......that's a nice ass model.....what kind of paint do you usually use?........i just recently bought an airbrush and it came w/ acrylics and i don't really like how it comes out.....i kind of like enamels but i've never really completely finished a model car (im 15 w/ no patience) and i just want some insight.......that's a nice finish on the skyline.....what kind of paint do u use?.......i bought a cheap ol testor external airbrush......i dont like it cuz it doesn't work that well sometimes and the propellent ran out too quickly........what kind of airbrushes do you guys have?.....internal?.....the guy at the hobby shop said internal is better for beginners......id o n't know......this kinda sucks........

You were right Guiddy that colour is perfect.

When I saw the inital pics it looked too light but now with those final pics I see that you chose correctly. I won't doubt you any more. Congrats on an A class job.

May have to get that kit now

Thanks for the positive comments guys!
The car was sprayed using my usual Halford's cans, Rover Tahiti Blue being the hue.
Having been here and talked to guys it seems Halford's cans are legendary, and they are great to use, good pressure and great paint! Seems to come straight out the spray can with a great shine! I will miss them here!
It was polished using Meguire's compounds available here in Australia.
Then the decals have gone over the top, no clear. I haven't even polished it yet either, waiting until I get home to use my Tamiya stuff!

Notice the photo etched tow hooks too?
