2 stroke turbo/super

I was just wondering if anyone knew about any companies that make turbos or superchargers for 2-stroke engines. I'm not talking about big ones, just like the little 4-6.5hp engines. If not, what is the smallest turbo or supercharger i could get, how difficult is it to put one on, what do i need? or, could i make my own super/turbo? If so, how, what do i need, where can i get it done.

By the way, i want to supercharge/turbocharge a go kart or a scooter.

P.S. I have done a search for 2-strokes and found nothing.

well, those engines don't produce enough torque to turn a supercharger, so you'd have to look at a turbo, but I think the amount of oil that goes out the exhaust of a 2-stroke would be really bad for the turbo.

They do make superchargers for model airplanes so I think there would be enough torque. http://www.rbinnovations.com/newsite...percharger.htm
You just use a smaller unit, lower pressure, larger pulley, that sort of thing. Check out the link below.

This might be what you need.

Good Luck.

Re: 2 stroke turbo/super

There are certain difficulties when one adds forced induction to a two stroke engine. This since one can't change the pressure difference over the engine without affecting the whole engine. Increase the boost and the engine will blow out a lot of unburned air/fuel mixture. If the exhaust pressure increases instead there will be exhaust left in the cylinder, knocking and overheating can be the result.

The smallest turbochargers in serial production are suitable for down to a 125cc twostroke. It's possible to more than double the power with turbocharging.
