2000 Durango Idle Problems
Hello,
I have a 2000 Dodge Durango that has an idle problem. When I first start the car in the morning it idles at about 2000 rpms for the first 30 seconds, then drops back down which is normal. But then when I am driving down the road and approach the stoplight, the rpms jump up and down, between 1000-1500 rpms for a few seconds before returning to normal. This is very dangerous because the car jumps forward when idling like this, which has me concerned about hitting a car in front of me at a light sometime. Also, I can put the car in park or neutral after driving for a while and the rpms instantly rise to 2000-2500 rpms for a few and then they drop back down. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: 2000 Durango Idle Problems
I had the same problem and replaced the TPS and it did the trick. It's been running great since.
