HIDs

Does anyone know if the HIDs off an I35 will fit a 2002 G20?

they will, the ballasts are all universal, and the bulbs might vary but i'm guessing they use the universal bulbs. i'm 90 percent sure they will fit. All u need to know is if the bulbs are universal, which i'm almost sure they are.

i'm not sure if i'd reccommend doing that...the I35's have a single filament bulb versus the g20's dual filament h4's. even if it did fit, you'll be blinding people like crazy cause there won't be anything there to shield the light from getting into the high-beam portion of the headlamp. plus, on top of that you run the risk of getting pulled over because it'll seam like your running your high-beams all the time.

My suggestion...get a Bi-Xenon Kit from Hella, it'll fit in a G20 and it'll provide you with HID for both high and low beams. I've seen them for a decent price around the web, as low as ~$550 or so, check ebay also they sometimes have them there. good luck.

He is right, every HID is single filament, actually there is not filament, the light is produce by the elctric charge between the 2 poles.

I will be able get the Hella HID kit for you guys in about 1-2 weeks at a low price, I am arranging a groupbuy for that Hella bi-xenon kit, i am current an owner of it, and i have tons of pics if you guys want to see it

Are you %100 sure about that? If so, are there any for less than $550?

You should get the right HID kit for you car, or it wont be just plug and play...P10 is 9004? Then you should get the 9004 kit...then it will be really easy for you to install

The phillips bulbs have two different model bulbs...the D2R and D2S....I think it was the D2R are made for our regular headlights and the D2S made for projector headlights. The D2R for our G20s have a special coating along the underside like some people mention the light would reflect off the high beam reflection points..well you can see for yourself here...

Yes, the D2S are designed for projector (ellipsoidal) type lenses. I would not recommend getting the hella kit. It is a cool idea with the Bi-xenon thing, but you are just lookin to blind people on the road.

I've been debating a long time (about 3 months) whether to get HID's or not. I finally came to the conclusion that I am not. It's not worth it. If your aftermarket kit causes some accident, and they investigate your car, your ass is gone. You'll be payin and payin and payin. The way I see it, if the car don't come with it, don't get it. It may look tight, but it's not worth it. The only way I would get it is if there were a remodeled G20 headlight, or just get some other headlight that already has HID's. Just my personal opinion.

However, if I would get one, it would be these. They seem promising.Check out the modified bulb. May be better than some other HID kits (for H4)

These are cool, it's the 6000K color that I like (the purplish). However, on the sight, I don't think these are available for the G20. They have an H4 kit, but perhaps it doesn't fit properly. I don't know. If anyone wants these, they might want to call and find out.

Has anyone tried the Sylvania SilverStar series? They don't have these in H4 (9003) yet, but they are making it soon for this spring. On the Sylvania sight, it's a purplish white color, but who knows. Anyone???

Be safe people. Don't get sold by some hotshot salesman on these HID kits. There is no such thing as street legal HID kits unless you get the ones where the entire headlight of the car is changed. Check out the Sylvania sight, you'll know what I mean. Here it is: On this site, scroll down to the part with the products (in black). This is where the replacement headlights are.

Do you know someone with this kit? I just question how do you know this kit is blinding while you see the other kit is promising. Or are you just assuming it is blinding. If you really have seen the actually kit on the street, then i will appreciate your comment on it
