adjusting timing

well I have all these books for fixing my 4.3W 1993 s-15 jimmy but it doesnt say where the bolt is to loosen the distributor....It's so hard to see back there with the thing so far back...does anyone know if there is a wrench made for it and what side the hold down is?????

I don't know about the bolt, but remember to disconnect the timing wire from the PCM under the dash.

It is a brown and beige wire just under the carper under the glove compartment.

i thought you said it couldn't adjust it on the cpi. 93-95.

Nope, only 1995 you can't. It is computer controlled.

1992-1994 CPI's can have there timing set manually.
