Interior Help

Question on my headliner...

My headliner started to bubble about 3 weeks ago, now it has almost covered my whole roof! Anyone know if i should just buy a new one, or have it fixed..? Like what are the prices/dificulty of me fixing it myself or installing a new one myself? Please help?

P.S. Sorry if this is under the wrong thread.

Re: Interior Help

dont buy a new one, its so easy and cheap to do. heres what you do. take the trim off the car and get the the headliners, take it down and pull the old stuff off. get all the glue and such off so when you go and put new on it will be smooth. then get some new headliner. i just made a new one for my camaro and it came out good. i used black vinyl. when its cleaned off, cut the vinyl to the right size, about 5 inch over hang on each side. get 3M spay glue. (90) series. its like 10-18 a can, i would get 2 cans this way you have enough. by the way, vinyl is like 7 dollars a yard, you will need like 2 yards, this way your safe. it will cost you about 50 dollars altogether. when you spray the glue, make sure you spay both the vinly and the headliner, each side, sticks better. if you want and idea, i got 1/4 foam and cut out 2 chevy bowties about 18 inches long, put it under the vinly and it came out sweet., good luck, and questions just ask

Re: Interior Help

if you do the foam, sand it down on the eadges so it has a smoooth look going into the bowtie. glue the bowtie first and the when dry, spray over everything. when getting into the eadges and corners, you can use a heat gun, i used a hair drier on the hot setting, works great and it will steach easier.
