'99 yukon interior lights stays on!
intermittent problem with interior and running board lights staying on after exiting vehicle and locking doors. Replaced the remote function module but it did not fix. Have made sure all doors are closed and locked of course... turning on the light override prevents problem, but no lights at all obviously.
Any ideas? |

I have just purchased 2 new switches. Can someone tell me how to take out the old ones? Will they come out from the front or does the dash have to be taken apart? Thanks for any help. |

Re: '99 yukon interior lights stays on!
If that doesn't work. I had the same problem. Found out only after I was diagnosed with a bad BCM (crooks, LOL) that my Alarm Sensor was set to high. Fixed the problem for free. If the previous doesn't work simply pull the 4 screws for the middle consoleand remove. (2 screws under cup holder liner, 2 inside area where 6 disk cd changer is located). You will see the sensor if its up to high it will be constantly light. Hope this helps.

Re: '99 yukon interior lights stays on!
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried a new switch on the drivers side and it seems to be working again.
The switch was $8.95 (Canadian) at the local GM dealer. |
