Yeah bro, your lucky! you can mod the SOHC far more over the DOHC and for lots less. you lucky punk...j/k.

one word: "supercharger".

if you wanna make 315 hp to the wheels get your butt over to www.rippmods.com and check out thier SC kit for your car.
ripp is the only company to successfully develope a kit that works on our cars. they provide everything you need and even offer staged upgrades. the DOHC dont have that luxury yet since ripp has not finished thier R and D as of yet, only prototypes.

and the beauty is you'll make more power and save some $$$ rather than buying a DOHC.

^ all the kits available for the DOHC have failled misserably and with the trend of turbo charging them so easily, manufacturers just dont bother researching and investing time into a good solid kit like the Ripp mods one for the SOHC. Ripp is developing one for the DOHC but it will still take some time, it took them almost three years to develope the SOHC kit.

How long? no clue! I wish I knew dude, then I would seriously save up my money in anticipation. but hopefully before 2007!

you dont need any mods prior to getting the SC Slade. the kit brings everything you need. Computer management, BOV, SC, Pulleys, SC jackshaft, injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, a/f and boost guage, and I think it even brings an intake and filter along too. its wise to upgrade the exhaust to flow a bit better and the SOHC might also need shorty headers but I'm not too sure.

so just tell Boo to hang in there and hopefully you and me will be driving to NY to get our DOHC supercharged soon Slade, BOOYAA!

seriously why cant I stop saying it? BOOYAA!

if you wanna keep up on the progress with the DOHC SC kit by Rippmods, go to 3si.org, in their forum section, there's a huge thread about it. last i check Bob (ek2mfg) had finished and shipped the headers to Ripp. so the final product is nearing completion!
