After checking the fuses at the driver door, also after pulling the rear seat OUT to check those fuses, the trunk switch on the dash (next to the fuel door) still does not work. The remote unlocks the doors but does not unlock the trunk. The wire leading to the trunk switch is dead. Any ideas???

Re: Trunk switch/Dead wire
About the only thing left is a broken wire somewhere between the fuse box and the trunk switch.
You'll have to try and trace the dead wire back to the fuse box. Remember that somewhere it will be live even with the ignition turned off.

Re: Trunk switch/Dead wire
The wire turns out to be a loom...which wire or color wire is the trunk wire? It was apparent that when the remote was used you could hear the relay (under the seat) but the trunk would not open. Also, when the button on the dash was pushed no sound could be heard under the seat. So, with the fact that the relay works and the trunk does not open, it was determined (in one of my eariler posts) that the wire was dead. You mentioned in an eariler post that fuse #22 on the passenger side, where
exactly "on the passenger" side?

Re: Trunk switch/Dead wire
There's two fuse boxes under the back seat, the one you want to check is on the passengers side of the car. I don't know what color the wire would be.

OK thanks! I checked all fuses & relays... all good...Haven't pulled the switches (fuel door & trunk) out of the dash yet.

Re: Trunk switch/Dead wire
I had the same problem, and there is a switch in the glove compartment that turns the release on and off. Check that!!!
