Question Shadows Blowing Smoke.

Hi every one ! I have a 1991 Dodge Shadow 2.5 Turbo. I just bought the car and it is in very good condition. The problem is when it is Idleing it blows some smoke, It does not smoke all the time ! And does'nt smoke at all while driving the car ? The car runs and Idles perfect ! It has had the head gasket resently replaced. The cars Temp is normal. Could the Turbo be pulling some oil through ? Any Ideas would be deeply appreciated !!! I'm new to the Forum and look forward sharing Ideas ! Thank`s in advance !

The smoke has a blue tint, The motor sounds solid but I have`nt done a compresion check on the cylinders. Maybe that would be a place to start ? It has 130,000 miles showing.

Re: Shadows Blowing Smoke.

usually smoke at idle is the valve guide seals ..... your right though, a compression check will give you a good idea of the engine condition

No question, get a compression test. Blue smoke means that you're burning oil.
