Ever have one of those days....

Ever have one of those days where the moment you get out of bed, you just know it’s going to be bad???

Well we had one this morning. Get out of bed, go to have shower, notice blood (in the shape of puddy cat paws) on the carpet in the bathroom, all down the stairs and a nice little puddle on the kitchen floor. Try to find which cat it’s coming from (we have 3!). Locate all 3, check all paws on each one. Nothing! No sign of blood anywhere! Very strange. They are all running around fine and aren’t in any pain so we give up and decide to go back to getting ready for work. Open blinds in loungeroom and see a hedgehog in the pool (we think it was the same one as last week). Run outside scoop it out with net and release into the wild. Raf (Moondog) decides that we should probably keep it in the spare room for the day so it can dry out, so locate towels and bring inside. Put in spare room.

Now we go about getting ready for work. Then Andy (me) decides that the poor hedgehog might get hungry during the day and doesn’t have any clue as to what they eat so thinks back to childhood days when she read Victoria Plum books and remembers that hedgehogs like to eat bread and butter pudding . None of this in house so bread soaked in milk will have to do. Goes about preparing that and puts out a bowl of water as well. Feeds self, makes hubby a smoothie (whilst he cleans the carpet), gives puddy cats breakfast and gets ready for work.

Believe it or not I made it to work with 2 minutes to spare! PHEW!!!!

How’s everyone else’s day going??? :hehehe:

Good I suppose, Raid system is almost up and running, got a little software work to do tomarrow but that should go ok. Had a test in Physics and Energy, it was easy So I'd say its all good.

Don't know if I just missread your post or not but were did the blood come from!?

I don’t know. We are thinking it came from Hobbes (our biggest cat) due to the size of the paw prints, but when we looked at all his paws there was no sign of blood and he wasn’t in any pain. We checked the other 2 as well and nothing. It’s a bit of a mystery really.

I'm having one of those days today.

stress level this morning went through the roof as soon as I got into work.

situation:
server went down. we needed it for a 9am call. it was 8 am
trying to rebuild server by 9am with boss breathing down neck
didn't get it in time so call rescheduled for lunch
it's almost lunch and luckily the things almost working.

And I've moved to the land of "Don't give a shit today"

I guess today has gotten off to a bad start........its 5.50 am and I have just been woken up by the cat.....there's the most appalling stench of cat shit seeping through the house and I don't have the stomach just yet to go out and track it down.Don't fancy getting any breakfast either.......the smell is truly gross, but if I try to deal with it I will probably heave.I have the stinking flu,and my head hurts because I am switching fromnightshift mode to weekend mode...had a 'discussion' with my wife yesterday, she probably won't talk to me all weekend, and I just about broke my toe on the vaccuum cleaner abandoned in the darkened hallway.......

I'd crawl back into bed but I suspect the tird is under it:apuke:
