Anyone replace air shocks w/ regular shocks?
I have a 93 dustbuster (silhouette), and the air shocks were shot. I replaced them with a standard gas-charged shock (gabriel...~$23 ea @ autozone). The ride seemed to improve initially, but now it seems as rough as before.
Could be the colder weather, could be the fact that the van is a rattle trap...I don't know. What I am wondering is, has anyone else replaced the air shocks with regular shocks? If so, did it work out OK for you? Thanks! |

I replaced my air ride suspension in my Montana with gabriel shocks from autozone, ride improved DRASTICALLY. They seem to be doing quite well, but only been riding on them for a couple of months. Now to do the front struts......
