help pleez
I am trying to take out the round section of the dashboard with the tape player and the AC controls on it to replace the tape player w/ a cd player. problem is, I have not figured out how they attached the thing in there. Can't find screws, bolts, nothing seems to hold it in yet I can't take it out either. Only place I have yet to look are four tiny holes, two on each side of the controls. is that where the screws are or am I really off?? can anyone tell me how to take out the thing?
PS this is a 2000 model |

Re: help pleez
Ford head units use a clip that holds the unit in the dash. There is a tool available that looks like a long nail bent into a "U" shape, you insert it into the holes, and pull outward on them and it disengages the clips and you pull the unit out.
