No start.......Timing belt was just touched...need help

I was just starting up my CRX a few days ago and I tried to tighten the timing belt by myself, so i got some jacks and did the job (tension is a little loose still, but it should be starting). Anyways right after I did it my engine wont start up now and the spark plugs are ok and firing and fuel is going into the engine.....all i did was fiddle with the timing belt in order to tighten it....what could have accidentaly done to create a no start situation....and how can i fix it to get it started????....any help would be great
