Emissions Testing

For those modded GTP'ers out there. Just took the Maryland Mandatory pass/fail On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) emissions test in my 99 the other day and passed with flying colors. Apparently the following mods have little/no impact on emissions.
DHP 1.0
autolite 104s
U-bend delete
3.4 pulley
SLP CAI
180* drilled T-stat

Hey Now! I see your from Waldorf. I lived right down 301 in Bowie for 20 years and just moved to Las Vegas last December. Yeah mine passed that test last year too. I think the whole emissions test business is a big scam anyway. I mean how many cars these days actually fail? Unless someone has really dicked with it I think 99percent of all cars that get tested pass. Its a huge money makin scam.

Re: Emissions Testing

Agree... I had a 97 F-350 (460 V8) that failed twice (2001 and 2003). Ford wanted $1000 to remove and clean the intake so it would pass the oxides of nitrogen test. I threw in the towel and bought a diesel last year! Now I can run as dirty as I want.

Enjoying the desert? I lived in the Mojave Desert north of Los Angeles for 3 years from 1992-1995 and then moved to the Arizona desert (Fort Huachuca) for 3 more. I'm just happy to have trees and grass again.
