Motor mount material

Does anybody know what type of material is used in motor mounts? There are urethane and rubber mounts, but I'm not sure if urethand and rubber accruately describe their makeup.

Thanks for the replies,

Ort

Re: Motor mount material

Most motor mount material is rubber. It has good vibration insulating and absorbing qualities and lasts a long time. High preformance mounts are usually urethane as the handle more powerful engines and hold up longer. If you have stock mounts most if not all are rubber, except possibly on Vettes or Vipers.
