I need some advice/opinions on the following setup. I will be getting the Bose OEM stereo in my 93 Maxima replaced with a simple set up. No amps or subs. The head units I am considering are the Eclipse cd3404 or the Alpine 9823. For speakers I am considering Planet Audio or Eclipse, 6.5” doors and 6x9 rears. I can’t find any reviews on the Planet Audios, are they worth the money?
I have found all of this at local shops as well as the Internet. I am leaning toward the local shops in order to have a valid warranty from the manufacturer. Or should I not worry about the warranty and purchase from the net to save some bucks? |

Re: Newbie stereo advice
Haven't heard of Planet Audio, but I'd say go with the Eclipses, and with the Alpine 9823.

eclipse makes nice speakers, but for 6x9's i'd say go with the pioneer rev's, these are considered by many to be the best 6x9's ever made, they put out an insane amount of bass for their size......
