What is a good bike for someone with no experience?
I have no riding experience, but would like to get a Suzuki GSXR1000 someday. I know it is probably suicide to start out with that bike. So I would like to get a bike that has a good mix of speed, looks, and easy riding just to start out with.

Never rode a bike before???? I would suggest starting on a Honda Rebel 250 or an old enduro. After a year or so step up to a bike with a bigger motor. Ie Suzuki SV 650, SUzuki GS500e, Kaw 500EX...
I would ride a few years before throwing a leg over a sport bike. I have a GSXR1000. I have been riding on the street for 11 years now. Mostly cruisers, but I have been mostly into sport bikes the last few years. You can't be an amature on a 1000 or you will end up as road pizza. The 1k has an absurd amount of power. It still scares the hell outa me sometimes. |
