Cool Ecm code P0446

Hello everyone I'm new to this forum and a new owner of a 1996 Blazer, and it's my 1st SUV. I used to and love speed/power. I have owned 3 Camaro Z28s (1st 3 cars), and now own a Generation 3 Maxima, and my baby, 1989 LeSabre T-Type with an L67/Supercharged motor (from a 1997 Bonneville SSEi) & 4t65e tranny (from a 2001 Regal GS).

I bought the Blazer as a Winter driver. However, I plan on making engine/performance enhancements. Did I mention I love speed?

Now to my questions:

I don't know if anyone has experienced this or if you have any info on how to solve the problem, but my 1996 blazer's engine light is on. The code comes up as; P0446: (The pcm has determined that a malfunction exist in the electrical circuit for the vent control in the evaporative emission control system.) Can anyone help me with this problem?

Finally, what type of engine/performance enhancements have you guys/gals done? Better yet, how much power can we get out of these Vortec 4.3 motors. I have done a little research, and have discovered we can add a CAI, Supercharger, Cams, etc. Who has done what to their motors?

Thanks in advance,

-TuBlaz

Re: Ecm code P0446

Check the thread started by pat125 0n 10/18/04 called vent solenoid. Also remember to clear the codes from the computer by disconnecting the batt for 10-15 min. when you are done
