What can I do to make this engine go faster? Please start with the little things & then the bigger ones.

ok, get a K&N filter, some platinum plugs, ground the shit out of the engine, adjust the carb, shim the valve springs, run some synthetic oil and advance the timing a bit (DIY and it shouldnt cost more than 100$, the valve spring shims are a little hard to do.)
