1976 Scottsdale
Alright I bought this truck 2 weeks ago for a temporary truck to get around in. I bought it for 3,600.00 dollars. Its in really really good condition. Only rust is rocker panels no where else. Its been restored with many different parts. These parts are 81 front clip, 88 flare side box, 97 LT1 block(w/internals)(with the newer heads)Long tub headers (dont know what brand) low RPM torque cam (only 12k I was told, I do believe), 400 turbo trans- 4.10 rear end, 650 Cfm eldabrock carb, Custom wheels w/ hoosier 275/60/15 tires, the vehicle only has 85,721.3 original miles on it (frame cab). ohh and also I put a Flexlite fan on and 3" Dual Flowmaster 40 series delta mufflers w/turn downs in the middle of the truck, its sounds awesome and sure does turn some heads, anyways it also has a bed liner I put in it too.
I was wondering How much this truck was really worth because Ive been getting offers of 4000 to 5000 for it, the only reason I havent sold it is because I dont have another vehicle lined up yet. Is is worth the money of should I get rid OF it ASAP The Color Is BRIGHT red

Re: 1976 Scottsdale
Thats a 76? Behind your rear fenders that come off the bed, at the bottom of the bed, did u add that little step i guess you could call it that is attached to the bumper? I just bought a 77 scottsdale longbed in very good condition, 35,000 miles all original, for $1,000 your truck seems to be restored to better condition so i dunno if you look on www.oldchevytrucks.com they would have that at 11,000 or 12,000.

Re: 1976 Scottsdale
77scottsdaleoewner, the bed that he has on that truck is off of an '88 Chevy. The front clip is off of an '81 Chevy.
That is why it does not look like a '76 |

So what do you guys think about it, Its a really clean truck! only the little rust on the rockers and the frame is straight and clean only a couple chips on the front end... Ill get some more pics tomarrow to upload so you can see the rest of the truck.
My insurance guy told me to take pics, and get appraised befroe anything happens to it, becuase in there books it doesnt show what its worth. Where would I do that at? Classic car shop or something thanks let me know.

Re: 1976 Scottsdale
That pink writing hurts my eyes!
IMO, it looks kinda goofy with that bed and front combination.

hmmm
ok, that's your baby? do you even have anything done to it? yeah, it's a nice truck, but.... kinda plain-jane. not trying to be a b.tch or anything(hell, i'd rather have your vehicle than my little jimmy), just what are you dissing on his truck for?
what I like in vehicles is something that stands out, that not everyone, ie: soccer moms and scout leaders, have. " Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy sh.t what a ride!" |

Re: 1976 Scottsdale
I think it looks awesome with the cab/bed combination. It is different, and I like that a lot!!
Oh, and Rbraczyk, I think that your Tahoe looks goofy. It looks, ummmm....completly bone stock...which therefore looks like shit |
