Raced an Eclipse

Finally! I've been waiting for so long to race an eclipse. I usually try to get people with eclipses to race me, but tonight was finally the night. It was weird how it happened.. i just got back from the hospital, i have carpotunnel in my elbo (hurts like hell) and i was at the red light. This white eclipse with a front bumper pulls up to me and starts to rev his engine. I didnt notice him at first because i cant see anything out of my tinted windows at night, but then when it turned green he took off so i was like "DAMN! ECLIPSE RACING TIME!" And so i floored it, and end up killing him until the next town. It was kinda awesome. If I see him again, im gonna be like "so eh.. you wanna try again..?" :evillol

Re: Raced an Eclipse

Congrats on the kill, did you hear a BOV or was it maybe a RS/GS? I have nothing but respect for 3000's, I love the car, I prefer the looks of the first gen though, look more exotic to me.

Re: Raced an Eclipse

When my 3KGT was automatic, there was a white Eclipse w/ full kit, and everything done to it (the only one ive seen that I had any respect for). Who knows what was under the hood, but heard the BOV from quite a distance, and of course he pulls up next to me in my stock SL at a light. I got a friend and a girl in the car, and he's got like 3 kids in his car. I look over at him, he revs his engine, so I rev mine thinkin "that car looks like its got 20 grand in it, hes gonna kill me". So the girl in my car is all like "omg are you gonna race him, kill him, etc". So just to save face i was like "im not racing him, do you see that car? mommy bought him all kinds of goodies and I just bought mine the other day!". So the light turns green and we both floored it, he took off like a 40,000 pound weight hit him in the ass doing 50 MPH, and my slow-from-start SL automatic didn't stand a chance, but luckily it didn't look too bad since the next light was like 20 yards away, and he turned off . Maybe when I get done putting this Manual conversion in i'll stand a chance.

oh and BTW when I had a 1.8L 92 integra, I beat a 99 eclipse gs/rs by 4 car lengths in the 1/4, so they are still slow!

haha yeah i mean if any car is suped up with a bunch of mods in them and you have stock chances are your going to lose depending on the match. i see a ton of eclipses but most are just stock i see rarely a few modded i guess its too expensive. anyways i know they will lose no matter what. i did some research on them and the highest hp is 210 we have like 218-222 most of us accept after 96 then its like 160hp which is sad.
