Re: screeching brakes

How many miles are on the car? No brake wear is usually not covered by warranty unless its due to defective parts. When was the last time a maintenance service was performed? During a routine service the brakes get inspected, cleaned, lubed, & adjusted* this helps prolong the life of the pads & rotors.

Mostly likely will need the rotors resurfaced & new pads, I HIGHLY suggest using Honda brake pads. Even if you go for the Midas $50 special, go to honda and get the pads.

For the noise, can say without hearing it.

Re: screeching brakes

If the brakes squeek that could be anything, most likely the gasket on the brake pad in contact w/ the caliper on front. The pulsation or rattling in the front could be a warped rotor. Do you drive the car hard and stop fast (racing) To get that problem fixed, provided it is a warped rotor, wouldn't take long or cost much. A brake shop can throw it on a brake lathe and grind off 6 thousandths of an inch and have you back on the street in less than an hour.
